Location
Our travels have taken us from downtown Calgary, to Kensington, to Bankview and now on to new adventures in Calgary’s south east. At right, King George Hall’s management team gets ready to turn over the keys to the building’s new owners on April 16, 2018. The cornerstone, which was first laid in 1926, is a feature in the lobby of the new building. Our new facility accomodates meetings, parties, conferences and events. We will have a 100 seat banquet room with full commercial kitchen and bar, a board room and a conference room which will also seat about 100. We want to be the place for your next event. Our new location is easily accessed from a number of major routes and is served by Calgary Transit (stop #8494).
Below, the historic square and compass comes down from the Osborne location March 24, 2018. This fixture was created by one of the members of King George Lodge so long ago no one remembers exactly when. It first graced a lodge hall in downtown Calgary, then King George’s building in Kensington before hanging outside of the Osborne location since 1985. It will be refurbished and feature prominently in the new building.
